Star Air has now discontinued its two flights that were previously operated from Belagavi Airport i.e., Belagavi to Surat (Gujarat) And Belagavi to Kishangarh (Rajasthan).
These flights were available for three days per week and were part of the Central government’s UDAN scheme, which aimed to provide affordable fares for a fixed number of passengers.
Star Air’s flights from Belagavi to Surat and Belagavi to Kishangarh (Ajmer) via Surat, which commenced in December 2020.
These flights were the only ones serving Surat and Ajmer, and they had been well-received by passengers, with an occupancy rate exceeding 90%.
Despite operating for the past three years, the flight services have now been withdrawn likely due to the conclusion of the UDAN scheme.
Star Air has also discontinued the Belagavi-Indore (UDAN), Belagavi-Bengaluru (Non-UDAN), and Belagavi-Nashik (UDAN) routes in the previous year.
