Work on construction of road overbridge which was progressing at a snail’s pace at the 3rd gate – level crossing no.381 on the Belagavi – Khanapur National Highway, has resumed and gaining Speed, much to the relief of road users.
The Road over Bridge work which was stopped due to lockdown has now been resumed by Contractor. the work gaining good speed has brought some smile on road users.
The work taken up at the cost of 27.28 Crores on 50:50 cost sharing between ministry of Railways and Government of Karnataka. The foundation stone for the construction of Road Over Bridge THIRD Gate was done on 6th Jan 2019 by Late. Shri Suresh Angadi but work commenced from October 2019. Bridge to have 4 lane approach roads
Current status : The work going on in full swing since unlock, completed More than 48 Girders for single span, 3 Hammerhead piers are ready

The deadline to complete this ROB was March 2020, however delayed due to lockdown and unavailility of workforce. The road overbridge is expected to be thrown open for public use in next 4-5 months.
