India’s Semi High Speed Train, “Vande Bharat Express” likely to run between Belagavi and Bengaluru soon.
MP (LS), Smt. Mangala Suresh Angadi met Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnav on Friday and requested to run Vande Bharat express between Belagavi and Bengaluru.
She visited Ministers office at New Delhi and submitted an appeal regarding the same. “Belagavi is the fastest-growing city in the state and is making excellent progress in industry, education, and various fields. There is a need of introducing semi speed Vande Bharat train from Bengaluru to Belagavi” She mentioned in the letter.

She also informed that Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has responded positively to her request and assured that introducing Vande Bharat train between these two cities will be considered.

Mp Mangal Angadi also discussed with minister to invite Prime Minister Modi to lay foundation for the most awaited Belagavi-Kittur-Dharwad new railway line project and inauguration of High-tech railway station of Belagavi.
About Vande Bharat Express : The Vande Bharat Express, previously known as Train 18, is a semi-high-speed, electric multiple unit train operated by the Indian Railways on 4 routes as of October 2022. It was designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at Perambur, Chennai under the Make in India initiative. Construction of the first train took 18 months. The service was named ‘Vande Bharat Express’ on 27 January 2019,
Vande Bharat Express has a maximum commercial speed of 160 km/h. It exceeded 180 km/h during testing, but its tracks are not capable of supporting such high speeds; thus the train is operated at a maximum speed of 130 km/h (81 mph)
