The Karnataka government has declared ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie tax-free in the state on Sunday. The announcement was made by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Besides, Gujarat, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh governments have already announced to make the movie tax-free.
Cm Basavaraj Bommai tweeted ” Kudos to @vivekagnihotri for #TheKashmirFiles, a blood-curdling, poignant & honest narrative of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from their home land. To lend our support to the movie & encourage our people to watch it, we will make the movie tax-free in Karnataka.”
The film directed by Vivek Agnihotri is based on the killings and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir valley by Islamic extremists.
The Kashmir Files in Belagavi : The movie – The Kashmir Files receiving very good response in Belagavi as well. Three theatres/ Multiplex currently showing movie i.e., Inox – Camp road, Carnival Cinemas – Nucleus Mall and Prakash Cinemas near Kapileshwar Mandir.
