To make railway stations a promotional and sales hub for local products, and taking a step towards promoting the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Vocal for Local programme, the South Western Railway (SWR) under the Ministry of Railways has decided to extend ‘One Station One Product’ scheme at 15 Stations. .
SWR has been decided to extend ‘One Station One Product’ scheme at 15 stations over Hubballi Division. In this connection applications are invited from local artisans, weavers, craftsmen, farmers etc. to sell their products at any one of the 15 Railway stations over Hubballi Division.
Temporary Functional Stall with easy access to passengers will be made available to the participants. Participants can sell the products at the station and on platforms also. Only one stall will be permitted at one station. If more than one application is received for one station, the same will be allotted on draw of lots.
The products should be indigenous to that particular area where they intend to sell their products. Farmers who grow vegetables, fruits which is local/indigenous to that particular area can also apply. The aim of the scheme is to provide enhanced livelihood and skill development opportunities through provision of sales outlet to them at Railway stations.
