Suresh Angadi laid to rest with full state honours at Delhi

The funeral of Railway Minister Suresh Angadi (65) took place Thursday evening with state honors at Delhi.

The funeral was held at the Rudra Bhoomi in Sector 24, Dwarka, New Delhi, according to the Covid guidelines.

His wife Mangala, daughters, sons-in-law, relatives, Jagadish Shetter couple, Deputy chief minister Lakshmana Sawadi, minister Ramesh Jarakiholi, V. Somanna and MPs were present. The funeral was carried out by the Veerashaiva Lingayata with all government honors.

Covid-19 was confirmed when he went to Delhi to attend the session. He was later treated at the AIIMS in Delhi. However, he breathed last on the night of September 23 without responding to treatment.
