The much-awaited Sugar Commissioner’s office is likely to be functional within the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha complex. Sugar Commissioner’s Office will be commissioned in the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha from October 3, said CM Basavaraja Bommai .
Speaking on the telephone with farmers who were protesting in the Dc office premises, he said the order has been issued by the government. Cm assured Farmer leader Chonnappa Poojeri that the sugar commissioner’s office will be shifted to Belagavi and made functional from 3rd October.
The CM assured them that the government would ensure that all sugar factories paid arrears of sugarcane dues of all farmers. He also said he would ensure that officers completed the flood loss survey in a short time and released all compensation due to the farmers
