The District Incharge minister Govind Karajol on Monday reviewed the progress of the works in Belagavi City under the Smart City Project and said that the on-going works should be completed quickly using the lock-down as advantage.

The Maintenance of the works completed under Smart City project is most important, he said. Speaking on the occasion,New MP of Belagavi, Mangala Angadi said major road works under the Smart City project should be completed at the earliest.

Install Rooftop Solar Panel on Suvarna Vidhana Soudha :

Instead of installing rooftop solar panels on government offices, it is advisable to install solar panels on the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. Minister Instructed Smart City Managing Director Shashidhar Kurer to make a proposal on this.

Minister assured that action would be taken to grant the necessary permission from the government for the installation of solar power panels on the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.

Minister also Suggested that a children’s park be set up in the Fort lake premises.
