A bird collided with a SpiceJet plane coming from Belagavi to Delhi on Monday morning. However, the aircraft managed to land safely at the Delhi airport. An airline official posted at the Indira Gandhi International Airport said that the Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft had about 187 passengers on board.
According to an Airport Authority of India (AAI) official, a bird collided with the plane at Belagavi airport. However, detailed information related to the incident was not immediately available.
In a statement, SpiceJet spokesperson said, “On May 9, a SpiceJet Boeing 737 flight from Belagavi (Karnataka) to Delhi collided with a bird. However, the plane landed safely in Delhi.”
According to officials, the SpiceJet flight from the national capital to Jharsuguda (Odisha) was delayed by a few hours as it was supposed to operate from the same aircraft, as the plane had developed some technical snag.

He said that the plane bound for Jharsuguda was supposed to take off around 11.55 am, but it took off around 2 pm. Not only this, this flight was operated by other aircraft.
