
Today the inaugural flight of Star Air between Belagavi and Nashik was witness to a special moment.
The flight operation itself was special as the flight will cater to the travel needs of many Devotees living in Belagavi Region. The special moment was when India Post released flight special covers.

Event was organized by Department of Posts, Belagavi Division in ssociation with AAI, Belagavi Airport and M/s. Ghodawat Group for “Release of First Flight Carried a special cover” from Belagavi to Nasik. Wherein, beautifully described the connection of two Ancient Cities ie. Belagavi and Nasik during the Lord Rama Period. There is a Sureban village where Shabri Temple is located as described in Ramcharitramanas / Ramayana and Nasik which is well known for Panchavati and other mythological places as described in ancient texts.
The postal cover had the date stamps from Belagavi Head Post Office, pictorial cancellation (a postmark, which shows replica / photo / design or a picture highlighting a tourist, religious, historical or an important place or thing) and signature.
