Just like in previous years, it is necessary to ensure that suitable accommodation, food, and transportation are provided to everyone attending the winter session of the Legislative Council in Belagavi, including ministers, MLAs, and officials. Additionally, UT Khader, the Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, instructed officials to ensure that all necessary infrastructure is in place to ensure a seamless and efficient conduct of the Legislative Council proceedings.
He was presiding over the meeting of officers and heads of various committees held on Tuesday (November 7) in the auditorium of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in the wake of the winter session of State the Legislature.
He said that if any problems arise or if additional convenience is required, individuals should bring it to the attention of their senior officials. He also stated that officers and committees from different departments should effectively manage the responsibilities assigned to them.
A multitude of individuals, comprising ministers, MLAs, officials, media representatives, and dignitaries, are expected to attend. Consequently, it is imperative to ensure the provision of excellent and high-quality food, accommodation, and transportation facilities.
U.T. Khader has suggested that in order to accommodate the public during simultaneous marriage ceremonies, specific hotels in the city should provide 10% of their rooms. He emphasized the importance of informing both hotel owners and the public well in advance.

It is suggested that an increased quantity of printing and stationery should be provided according to the needs. Additionally, the proposal includes deploying teams to offer emergency medical services near hotels where ministers, MLAs, officers, and staff are accommodated at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.
Selfie Point : According to Assembly Speaker UT Khader, the selfie spot should be arranged in such a way that it captures the complete Vidhana Soudha in the background. This would provide a memorable opportunity for individuals attending the session proceedings.
Chairman Basavaraj Horatti proposes creating a stunning garden in the vicinity of Suvarna Soudha :
Speaking at the meeting, Sabhapati Basavaraj Horatti offered to provide lunch coupons for the drivers and other staff at Vidhana Soudha during the session, ensuring that lunch arrangements are well-organized.
He requested the commissioner of police department to permit the school buses carrying children to proceed up to the main entrance within the Vidhana Soudha for the session observation.

He instructed the Department of Horticulture and Public Works to review and present a fitting proposal for the creation of an exquisite garden in front of the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. The commencement of the approved garden construction should begin without delay. Additionally, he directed the officials from the Public Works Department to provide a report on this matter within one week.
During the meeting, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, the Minister of Women and Child Development Department, emphasized the need to offer some percentage of accommodation to the public during December, considering the numerous marriage ceremonies taking place.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil provided an update on the session’s overall preparation. He mentioned that committees have been formed to handle accommodation, meals, and transportation arrangements. Additionally, he highlighted that extensive preparations have been made through multiple rounds of meetings.
The previous year, the operation was carried out using the government system instead of private vehicles. Similarly, certain hotels were assigned to the close aides, gunmen, and other personnel of the MLA on a payment basis. This practice will be repeated again this time.
A soft copy of the QR code booklet containing every information including session accommodation, details of officers will be distributed to everyone. Apart from this, the QR code will be displayed at every corner of the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.
Every location, including the Health Committee, Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, and hostels, will have medical teams and ambulances deployed, as stated by the DC Nitesh Patil.

Temporary Township :
According to Commissioner of Police SN Siddaramappa, a special temporary township is currently under construction to accommodate the police force. He mentioned that arrangements are being made at 22 different locations, ensuring that ample facilities will be provided in collaboration with the district administration.
Vidhana Parishad Secretary Mahalakshmi, Assembly Secretary Vishalakshi, District Attorney Chief Executive Officer Harshal Bhoyer, District Superintendent of Police Dr. Bhimashankar Guleda and others were present.
