Higher Education, IT-BT and Skill Development Minister C N Ashwath Narayan on Wednesday said that Belagavi to get IT park in over 700 acres to create job for locals.
Addressing the office-bearers of BJP Rural unit here, the minister said ‘The setting up of IT park in this area will create job opportunities for local talents and they can work in their hometown Instead of moving to Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai seeking jobs’ said minister.
Minister Ashwath Narayan also said that Efforts are underway to build Pune-like high-tech IT infrastructure in Belagavi.
“The government land of 750 acres located in the city is in the position of the department of defence and efforts are being made to get that back. The government has the intention of setting up a software park in the said location. Besides this, the old software technology park will also be developed.” Said while He attended a workshop on National Education Policy (NEP-2020) at KLE college in Belagavi.
