
Kalamandir, Tilakwadi which was a home to garbage trucks and an Aadhar centre, the entire structure was demolished to make a new commercial complex or Shopping mall at the cost of Rs.46.68 Crore in 1.15 acres of land under Smart City project have been moving at a slow pace and have not seen much progress in the past months.
Bhoomi pooja was done on 16th February in 2019 and completion target is 24 months i.e., February 2019 to February 2021. Contract won by Bengaluru based company – Yankee Construction.
Like other projects by Smart City, Now Shopping mall construction also not going to complete within deadline. as work couldn’t see good progress in 20 months will further lead for extension of deadline.
In Belagavi, several works worth hundreds of crores under the Smart City Project got held up as labourers migrated to their hometowns during the lockdown. after unlock works getting some good speed. The administration till June-July had spent Rs 218 crore of the Rs 396 crore released, says project Managing Director Shashidhar Kurer.

Basement area of 5368 Sqn is reserved for parking vehicles, Ground floor area of 3830 Sqm for Shops, First Floor of area 3058 Sqm for Multi-facility government offices and Second floor of area 3730 Sqm for Cinema Multiplex Hall.
The delay is understandable but the fact remains that they need to cover up the time so that all the projects are completed as soon as possible
