
Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Friday said more than 55 lakh farmers across the state have received a total financial benefit of Rs 985.61 crore directly into their bank accounts as the first instalment for the current fiscal, under the “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi” (PM-KISAN) scheme.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday released the fresh installment of the financial benefits under the PM-KISAN scheme via video-conferencing, which Yediyurappa attended.
The first installment was released under the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Scheme, the largest amount of Rs 109 crore in have been released for Belagavi District Alone in the state. Rs. Available 1,067 crore to 53.35 lakh farmers in 30 districts of the state has been released. This is the first installament fund for the current four months – April, May, June and July – The Amount of Rs.2000 will be credited to the farmer bank accounts.

5.49 lakh farmers in Belagavi district received Rs. 109 crore from the release. Bengaluru . The farmers in Bangalore city district got received the lowest, i.e. Rs.6.26 Cr. Kalaburagi and Mandya are in 2nd and 3rd positions. Rs. 53.77 crores for 2,68,863 farmers in Kalaburagi. Rs.53.11 crore for 2,65,572 farmers in Mandya has been released.
