Nature lovers of the city will soon be able to witness the beauty of walking among variety of butterflies. North Karnataka’s first butterfly park will come up in Belagavi.
Mla Abhay patil had recently visited Radhanagari butterfly park in Kolhapur along with officers to study about the butterfly park and taken information and suggestions to set up butterfly park in Belagavi.
The butterfly park likely to come up in Vaccine depot. Once the park gets ready will consist of rare butterfly verities besides the local species that are commonly seen in and around the city.

The work on the park will be started soon and will be thrown open for public and tourists by November 15th this year.
Mla Abhay Patil has told Belagavi has a huge tourism potential. Keeping this phenomenon in mind, a garden will be customised by our architect within appropriate budget. And this idea will attract tourists from Various parts of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa states which will results tourism growth.
