
The Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yaddyurappa has approved an oxygen unit at Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences of Rs 2.85 crores.
Belagavi south constituency Mla Abhay Patil, had appealed the chief ministers to set up an additional oxygen unit in the premises of BIMS hospital.
Mla Abhay Patil had informed CM that Currently an oxygen plant at BIMS is of 13 KL capacity and for the current situation the Hospital is in need of more oxygen supply.
CM has responded and immediately approved a special unit of 1500 Litres per minute capacity Oxygen plant for preparing and Supplying of oxygen to the hospital.

The Belagavi District Hospital has a total of 1040 beds of which 822 are oxygen beds, 76 are ventilator beds and 35 are HFNC beds.

Work of the new plant to be inaugurated tomorrow at 11 am in the premises of Hospital. Mla Abhay Patil thanked Govind Karajol and BS Yediyurappa.
