“Belagavi is in need of another industrial estate. The availability of land to set up industrial estate will be checked in the meeting of Belagavi Urban Development Authority,” said District In-charge Minister Satish Jarakiholi.
Talking to reporters here on Monday, he said, ‘A new industrial estate is needed for the strengthening of the industrial sector in this part. The government will provide all the infrastructure including electricity and water’.
Responding to the fact that many organizations are opposing the construction of the ring road, Satish said, ‘The project has been approved. The center has issued a notification to acquire the land. So project has to move on. He said that the land acquisition process will be started soon.
Halaga-Machhe bypass road construction work will start after monsoon, he said.

The Belagavi-Panaji National Highway is in dilapidated condition, we have instructed the officials of the National Highways Authority to fix it and facilitate the vehicular traffic.

And also, The construction work of the flyover has been taken up in the city with the National Highway Authority and a proposal has been sent to the government. More than 20 road construction works in the district are pending. We are solving their problems one by one,’ he said.
