
To set up the new campus of Rani Channamma University in Hirebagewadi Rs.100 crore will be provided in the first phase, said Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathth narayana
He spoke to media after inspecting the land allotted to Rani Channamma University near Hirebagewadi today.
Already 127 acres of land have been allotted. Both the Academic and Administrative buildings will be built here.
Since many years there was a demand to build own campus for RCU. It’s hard to find Land near the city. However after long wait the location has been finalised. Everyone should contribute to the development of the education system. He said.
Alternative Place land for Multi-Village Drinking Water Project –
The ongoing multi-village drinking water project will not be cancelled as the university is to come on same site but alternative land will be provided for the project he said.
The government is committed to the holistic development of the university. The land has been allotted to the efforts of all the representatives of the district, including the minister in charge of the district, Ramesh Jarkiholi. Students will be provided with all kinds of facilities in the new campus of the university. He also said that other essential development work would be done in Kithur as well.
In this section, further academic progress will be taken. All kinds of educational courses are set up for universal development. He assured the villagers that the Mallayyajna temple located on the proposed farm would definitely be developed.
Sanjaya Patil, president of the BJP rural district unit, who informed the minister about the government-sanctioned land, has a flat land on the hill. Also he informed that Villagers have agreed to grant additional land.
