The residents of the district are pleased with the recent change in the train schedule for the Mysore-Belagavi route, as it has brought greater convenience to the commuters.
Prakash Hukkeri, the Delhi Special Representative of the State Government, successfully persuaded the Railway Department to alter the train schedule due to the significant inconvenience caused to passengers. Initially, the train departing from Mysuru in the evening would arrive at Belagavi the following day at 10.45 am.
In response to Prakash Hukkeri’s suggestion, the railway department officials have made changes to the schedule of the Mysuru-Belagavi train. The train has been running according to the revised schedule for the past few days. As per the new schedule, the train departs from Belagavi at 6 pm daily and arrives in Mysuru at 5.55 am the following day. Similarly, the train leaving Mysuru at 8.30 pm now arrives in Belagavi at 8.45 am. This allows employees to conveniently attend their respective private and government office work on the same day.
