Mp seeks air connectivity to new Shivamogga airport from Belagavi and 10 other cities

B.Y. Raghavendra, Lok Sabha member from Shivamogga has requested to the Minister Of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia to provide air connectivity from big cities to Shivamogga.

On Thursday, He met Union Minister for Civil Aviation in Delhi and submitted a memorandum to air-link Shivamogga with 11 big Cities as Shivamogga airport work near completion.

3. Mumbai-Shivamogga-Chennai
4. Mumbai-Shivamogga-Tirupati
5. Shivamogga-Gulbarga-Hyderabad
6. Shivamogga-Gulbarga-Delhi
7. Bengaluru-Shivamogga-Belagavi
8. Bengaluru-Shivamogga-Delhi
9. Cochin-Shivamogga-Delhi
10. Bengaluru-Shivamogga-Goa
11. Hyderabad-Shivamogga-Cochin

‘Minister has responded positively to my requests’ He mentioned in a tweet.

The distance between Shivamogga and Belagavi is 306 km via NH-48 which takes roughly about 6 hours. There are daily direct buses between Belagavi and Shivamogga. If these two cities are air-linked, the travelling time will be reduced to 35-40 min only.
