
More than 150 journalists, photographers, camera persons and a few staff of the Department of Information and Publicity received vaccine at a special vaccination programme conducted in Belagavi City on Thursday.
Corona vaccine was received by media representatives in the presence of Govinda Karjol, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister incharge of Belagavi District. The media representatives were given the vaccine as per the direction of the government at Vantamuri Primary Health Center on Srinagar Road.
Govind Karjol, deputy chief minister and Belagavi district minister in charge of the vaccination, said the government had taken action to vaccinate the media for the safety of media representatives working as a front-line workers in the Covid case.
Media representatives working at the district headquarters have been given the first dose of the vaccine. He said similar measures will be taken to vaccinate media representatives at taluka level in the coming days.
