Congress candidate Channaraj Hattiholi won in the election for the Legislative Council from Belagavi Local Authorities Constituency.
Congress candidate Channaraj Hattiholi has recieved 3715 votes in the election. Counting of votes for Election of Legislative Council from Belagavi Local Authorities Constituency was held at RD PU College in Chikkodi on Tuesday. Results for the second seat were to be announced officially.
Congress won back the seat it had lost in the previous elections. Independent candidate Lakhan received 2526 votes, while Bjp candidate Mahantesh Kavatagimath loses with 2454 votes.
