The implementation process of every project related to the overall development of the Belagavi district such as Railway, Irrigation, Highway, Ring Road, Fly Over Construction, Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation should be expedited; Satish Jarakiholi, the minister of Public works and District in-charge minister, instructed the officials that the technical problems hindering the projects should be resolved on priority.
He was presiding over the progress review meeting of various projects that was held on Tuesday (June 13) in the hall of the Deputy commissioner’s office.
Direction for Scrutiny on Construction of Ring Road – Design Modification: “There are small villages like Kadoli, Honaga, Bennali, Agasaga etc. If hundreds of acres are acquired for the construction of Ring Road for Belagavi city, it will be a problem for the villagers. So we should listen to the opinions of the villagers and make some changes in the design”. Minister Satish Jarakiholi told officials of the National Highways Department officials that an alternative location should be identified in the vicinity. He said that pending land acquisition process should be completed to facilitate Halaga-Macche bypass work.
Railway Over Bridge at 1st Gate & 2nd Gate :

Tenders for the construction works of the first and second gate of the city should be called immediately. Before this, he said that the design should be finalized after discussing with the high officials of the Municipal Corporation, Public Works and Police Department.

He said that, The railway department’s bridges and underpasses are unscientific and people are being severely inconvenienced. Therefore, the Minister suggested that in the coming days, while constructing any road over bridges and under Passes, it is mandatory to discuss with the officials of Public Works Department and finalize the design.
Multi-storied building at DC office premises : The Minister said that the design for the multi-storied building in the premises of the District Collector’s office.
Construction of flyover : After receiving information from the officials about the proposed flyover construction project from National Highway Junction – Sankam Hotel to Ashoka Pillar Circle, the District In-charge Minister discussed the implementation of the first phase of the proposed project.

Bus station from both sides of the highway, R.T.O. The main objective of the Fly Over project should be to manage the traffic flow on the city access road including the roundabout. He said that it should be designed in the same way. Minister Satish Jarakiholi said that after this, extension of this flyover to Peeranwadi can be reviewed.
