The Germany based wholesaler, Metro Cash & Carry to open its new stores in Tier-2 Tier 3 Cities in India as a part of their expansion plan.
Wholesale business giant Metro Wholesale is looking to enter smaller cities in the State with smaller stores and is looking for partners for the purpose, Managing Director and CEO of Metro Cash & Carry India Arvind Mediratta has said.
Speaking to mediapersons after the launch of the eighth Metro Store in Karnataka, the 31st in the country at Hubballi, he said that stores in Belagavi and Mangaluru are in the pipeline and more stores, along with logistic support, are being planned across the State.
Metro has eight stores in Bengaluru. The wholesaler entered India back in 2003 with an aim to expand its operations in metro cities; and is now looking to open stores and increase its reach to consumers in small towns and cities.
