Mass Sterilization drive for dogs soon in Belagavi City

Society for Prevention of Animal cruelty (SPCA) committees to be formed in all districts throughout Karnataka

Dr. Sonali Sarnobat and Mr Shivanand Dambal along with Deputy Director of Animal Welfare Mr. Ashok Kolla Met and discussed with Belagavi Deputy commissioner M.G Hiremath and Belagavi City Carporation commissioner Jagadish regarding the same today.

The SPCA committee will comprise of DC, Carporation commissioner, SP, DCP, DDPI, NGOs, Goushala pramukhs, animal activists etc.

The Comittee will take action, decision on animal welfare and animal cruelty throughout district. ABC program (animal birth control) Sterilization, rehabilitation centres, hospitals, ambulance, stray dogs issues every aspect was discussed. Prompt action and vigilance is assured.

Sterilization soon in the City :

Corporation Commissioner has agreed to conduct Sterilization programs in the city limits. The committee has already identified two private NGO’s for the Sterilization program. The operations will be conducted by ward wise bifurcation. The Operations expected to be conducted within next week. The animals shelters have been planned in the city said Shivanand Dambal, Member AWA

Releasing Stray dogs outside City is Baseless News :

Few days back there was a news of releasing stray dogs out of city perimeter. Regarding this Karnataka Animal Welfare Board members discussed with Corporation Commisioner Mr. Jagadish, Commisioner said No such plans were made, I myself a Animal lover, thus news is baseless. Also members discussed ABC program and animal shelter with Commissioner.
