Marshals will be deployed in the Cities and Towns of Belagavi district like in Bengaluru to enforce mask-wearing amid rising Covid-19 cases in the state said Belagavi District commisioner Dr. K Harish Kumar
He also said that A fine of ₹250 being imposed for not wearing masks. Wearing mask is mandatory with the intention of preventing the spread of covid. Three days awareness campaign will be held on Wearing Mask and Maintaining social distancing . Even then, who breaks rules will be penalized.
In addition to penalties, masks are also issued. But the person have to pay for it. For this purpose, administration is likely to take help of Homeguards.
