By declaring Belagavi Rural assembly constituency as a separate taluk, the people of the constituency will be provided with all kinds of government services at their doorstep, promises Indian National Congress Belagavi Rural constituency candidate Laxmi Hebbalkar.
She informed that Belagavi is a big taluka. Currently there is a lot of pressure and work load on the taluka government offices here, So formation of Belagavi rural taluk is very necessary. After being elected this time, my first priority will be formation of Belagavi rural taluka.
She expressed confidence that this time the Congress government will come to power in the state and the formation of a separate taluk will be possible.
“My Constituency people are dependant on Belagavi City, for every govt related services they need to go to offices at Belagavi city that are already much busier with work load. So, in the coming days, all the offices, including the Tehsildar office, will come to this constituency. and 24×7 help centre will be opened soon” says Hebbalkar.

Belagavi Rural is one of the 224 Assembly constituencies in Karnataka where the election is scheduled to be held on May 10 (Wednesday). The election results will be declared on May 13 (Saturday). Belagavi Rural Assembly constituency will see a contest between Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Shankargowda Rudragowda Patil, Laxmi Ravindra Hebbalkar of the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nagesh Mannolkar.
