Laxmi Hebbalkar, MLA, Belagavi rural Constituency, on Monday adopted a tiger named “Shourya” at the Kittur Rani Chennamma mini zoo in Belagavi in a bid to support ex-situ conservation of animals.
On the occasion of MLA’s nephew Harshit birthday, adopted a tiger and also contributed Rs. 1 lakh for the maintenance of the tiger for one year.
MLA’ assured that, every year on 14th of June, she will be contributing Rs. 1 lakh towards Sourya’s maintenance throughout the lifetime.
Not just this, Laxmi Hebbalkar also said that On 20th August she will be adopting a Lion again. And appealed everyone to come forward and adopt animal’s.
