KLE Society celebrated it’s 107th Foundation Day at an event held at Dr Jirge Hall, KLE Centenary Convention Centre, J N Medical College Campus on Monday (19.Nov).
Welcoming the gathering, Chairman KLE Society, Dr Prabhakar Kore, shed light upon the history and evolution of KLE Society from it’s humble beginnings. Making a special mention of the Saptarishis, the founding fathers, he lauded their visionary efforts in initiating the transformation of society through education by establishing the first school of KLE Society in 1916.
He further recounted his experiences with several alumni from KLE who are executing responsibilities of importance across the world. Expressing satisfaction with the achievements of the organization in education and healthcare he thanked everyone who has been instrumental in implementation of the same.
He announced the commencement of KLEs Cancer Hospital at Belagavi and Hospitals at Bengaluru and Pune in the coming 6 months which would be in addition to KLEs existing capacity of over 4000 beds. He also announced plans to commence a school at Mumbai.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Ms Mangala Angadi, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Belagavi congratulated the KLE Family for the accomplishments over the years and hailed Dr Prabhakar Kore as the Eighth Rishi for successfully continuing the legacy of the 7 founding fathers.

Anil Benake, MLA, Belagavi (North) congratulated Dr Kore for his 75th Birthday anniversary and expressed his continued best wishes to Dr Kore and team KLE for the continued contributions to societal welfare through education and healthcare. He expressed his gratitude to KLE for taking the best of education and healthcare to the Rural areas.
Students, Faculty members and Employees of KLE Society from across it’s institutions were felicitated for their achievements and excellence in academics, sports and other fields of competition and responsibility. 80 gold medals, 64 silver medals and 8 institutional trophies were present.
Members of the Board of Management, KLE Society, Heads of Institutions, Members of Staff, students and other members of the KLE family were present.
