An acre of land has been allotted to establish the bench of the Karnataka State Administrative Tribunal (KAT) in Belagavi in the own building.
A three year of hunt for land to set up bench of the Karnataka State Administrative Tribunal (KAT) has reached a conclusion, the land has been identified in Hindalga, Belagavi (RC no.189/A2), The documents of the land admeasuring 1 acre. been handed over to the Judicial member of the judicial board.
As per the order of Belagavi deputy commissioner M G Hiremath, Uchagaon Revenue Inspector Uday Khatedar handed over the land deed to Judicial member of the judicial board T. Narayanaswamy and Correspondant K S Nagaratna.
Bench of Karnataka Administrative Tribunal was allotted to Belagavi by the state government headed by the then Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in 2015 and the bench started functioning from 17 December 2018 in a rented building on Dr. B R Ambedkar Road in the city.
Currently Smt. K S Nagarathna is the the registry officer for the Belagavi bench.
