The Kannada Rajyotsava in Belagavi set a new record for attendance, as lakhs of people, particularly young individuals from both the local district and other districts of Karnataka, enthusiastically participated in the festivities and joyfully danced to the melodies of timeless Kannada songs.
On Wednesday, Belagavi city was adorned with red and yellow flags, as the youths showcased their affection for their mother tongue in various ways. The celebration was a grand event that took place throughout the city, with a particular focus on Rani Chennamma Circle.
The district administration had expected a footfall of 3 to 5 lakhs people on the specified day. Nonetheless, the influx surpassed their estimations as per the sources.
Over 75 tableaus depicting various themes were exhibited in a grand procession.
