IndiGo’s first a320 Flight 9267 touched down at 4.53 pm on Feb 06, 2021, Belagavi’s civil aviation history turned a dramatic new chapter.

Belagavi Airport witnessed two A320’s on same day. IndiGo airplanes carried around 277 passengers from Malaysia (Kuala Lampur) to Belagavi via Chennai and Bengaluru. A direct boarding pass was issued from Kuala lumpur to Belagavi.
Students of KLE-USM who were moved to their homes due to Covid 19 pandemic, were returned to Belagavi in a two special flights on Saturday as the Off-line classes has began. The students were attending an online classes since April last year.

The learning program is being conducted in KLE with the agreement of the University of Malaysia and KLE (USM-KLE). Large number of Malaysian students are studying here.

The First Flight 6E 9267 has arrived from Kuala Lumpur to Chennai and To Belagavi which carried 132 Students and landed at 4.53 pm.
Since 6E 9267 was One-way special Flight, opened Commerical booking between Belagavi – Chennai, 13 passengers boarded Flight to Chennai.

The second flight 6E 9042, has arrived from Kuala Lumpur to Bengaluru and then to Belagavi which carried 145 Students and landed at around 10.00 pm.

IndiGo had opened commercial bookings for Belagavi – Hyderabad sector, the flight recieved good response. 61 Passenger boarded to Hyderabad at around 10.40 pm

Upon landing at 04.53 pm at Belagavi Airport, the aircraft was met with a ceremonial water cannon salute, and was welcomed by by lightning Lamp & Cake Cutting by Sh Chandrashekhar, Airport Director/JtGM(CNS), Sh PS Desai,AGM(CNS), AAI & Sh Nagesh,St Manager, IndiGo.
People of Belagavi expressed their happiness on social media by uploading photos and videos of flight landings.
