With the entire nation going in or a lockdown to battle COVID-19 and With agriculturists finding it difficult to sell their produces owing to the COVID-19 countrywide lockdown restrictions, the Department of Horticulture introduced mini auto service to sell vegetables at doorstep in Belagavi which will be similar to that of regular traditional vegetable push carts.

DC MG Hiremath launched this vehicle for door-to-door service today in the city, the DC said that the HOPCOMS can sell vegetables and fruits in each and every ward at stipulated price.

It would also help in preventing people from visiting market areas to buy horticulture products, said DC, while inaugurating the programme.
