The Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjarin a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha on Friday informed as per e-vahan4 portal, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rajasthan have emerged as top five states in terms of registration of electric vehicles in India.
Uttar Pradesh (414,978) has the highest registered electric vehicles, followed by Delhi (183,741), Maharashtra (179,087), Karnataka (150,179) and Rajasthan (120,796) come in that order.
