Chintamanrao High School (CHS), one of the oldest and most hi-tech government school in Belagavi. The school has recently completed its 100th year of existence. As a part of this celebration, School is getting high-tech auditorium.
Under the guidance of Mla Abhay Patil, Chintamanrao HighSchool getting a Hi-tech auditorium which is already under construction. The project is worth Rs 2.5 crores.
Mla Abhay Patil has Inspected the ongoing auditorium works on Friday. He said The auditorium with capacity of 400 audiences and has advanced acoustic system is being constructed here. The auditorium to be named as Shrimant Rohiniraje Vijaysinghraje Patwardhan Centenary Hall.
Chintaman Rao HighSchool was Established in the year 1907, CHS was initially an English medium primary school. However in the year 1921, it commenced discourse in Marathi medium. Gradually English disappeared from the school. In 1948, it turned into an high school and in 1964 started its Kannada discourse and Urdu in 1980, all in the same premises.
