The legal complications of Halaga-Macche bypass road construction work in Belagavi taluk have been resolved. We have informed the National Highways Authority to continue with the contractor who had abandoned the work due to technical reasons. In this regard, a decision should be taken at the Center level and the work will be started soon,” said District In-charge Minister Satish Jarakiholi.
Talking to reporters here on Saturday, he said, ‘Ring road has been sanctioned for Belagavi. Land acquisition and survey process is in progress. It cannot be stopped. District Collector, Sub-Divisional Officer are acquiring land for the project. He said that whatever problems the farmers have, they will solve them.
This is a project that was taken up during the tenure of the BJP government. Now there is no point in protesting against it. Along with this, we have submitted a proposal to the government for the construction of a road flyover from Sankam Hotel to Central Bus Stand and from Ashoka Circle to Rani Channamma Circle. He said that the work will be carried out wherever there is a technical advantage.
A super specialty hospital building has been constructed in Belagavi. We will supply the necessary medical equipment. We will take action to overcome the shortage of staff in BIMS,’ he said.

We will inform the authority to collect toll fee only for the amount of work done.”
