Government of Karnataka will Role Out Gruha Jyothi Scheme registration from June 18, 2023.
The Beneficiaries can register for the scheme on Seva Sindhu portal under a special custom-made page for the scheme (https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in/).
The same can be accessed from mobile phones/computers/Laptops also. Beneficiaries will have to keep their Aadhaar cards, Customer account ID (as mentioned in the electricity bill) ready for their registration. The registration can also be done at Bangalore One, Grama One, Karnataka One centers or at any electricity office. For further information, contact any electricity office or call 24×7 helpline 1912.

Gruha Jyothi scheme is the flagship program of the state Government where montly consumption maximum upto 200 units, every consumer upon his monthly average consumption for the last financial year plus 10% on his average consumption will be his eligibility for free entitlement. This initiative being inclusive and welfaristic, is first of its kind and it will benefit 2 Crore Domestic Consumers in the state of Karnataka. The scheme will be effective from August 1st 2023(for electricity usage in July). The Beneficiaries will get a ‘zero bill’ starting 1st of August if usage is within their entitlement.
