Deputy chief minister and Belagavi district incharge minister, Govind Karajol has appealed to Cm to extend lockdown in Belagavi district for another 7 days.
Belagavi district has shared it’s borders with three states Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra. So there is chance of Covid Spread again in the district, keeping this in mind it is recommended to extend lockdown for another week with the approval of some economic activities as the positivity rate is around 9 per cent.
District incharge minister Govind Karajol tried to convince the chief minister that the lockdown should continue.
He spoke in a video conversation with Cm on Thursday (June 10) on the management of Covid and the current situation. The lockdown should continue for another week, allowing for major activities such as automobile, building construction, Agricultural works.
