After much delay, Protests the government has finally approved the setting up of the Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (KSCDRC) permanent Bench in Belagavi.
The under-secretary of the government issued the order on Friday (17 June) following instructions of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
The order copy also has details of establishing Permanent Bench in Belagavi and 22 required posts in it.

Belagavi South MLA Abhay Patil on Friday spoke to CM Bommai and he was successful in getting confirmation letter of approval. MLA Abhay Patil and Mla Anil Benake handed over the approval letter to the protesting lawyers and brought smile on thier faces.
Hundreds of lawyers of Belagavi Bar Association boycotted court proceedings and came out to the streets and created a human circle at Rani Chennamma Circle here on Tuesday (14 June). and sat for indefinite agitation. The same was withdrawn as their demand has been met.
