Under the liberalized Flying Training Organisation (FTO) policy of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Eight new flying training academies are being set up . These academies will be set up at Belagavi, Jalgaon, Kalburgi, Khajuraho and Lila Bari airports.
Two companies have successfully bid for Belagavi airport to start Flying training school’s. The Samvardhane technologies from Bengaluru and RedBird aviation from Delhi have choosen Belagavi to open flying school.
Today Samvardhane technologies team visited Belagavi airport where Airport Authority of India has allotted land to build school and related infrastructure.
The company leasing land for Establishing flying Training Organizations (FTOs) on Design ,Build, Operate, Maintain & Transfer Basis (DBOMT) for Belagavi Airport. Size of Land is 5000 sqm for Hangar & Apron.
