The work on setting up of flying training organisations (FTOs) at Airport Authority of India’s Belagavi Airport has reached final stage.
On Saturday, Airport Director Rajesh Kumar Maurya along with Red Bird Aviation, Safety Manager, Fire Incharges and Civil contractor inspected the on going work of setting up of FTO hanger and Apron at Belagavi airport premises.
The Red Bird Aviation FTO is almost ready and waiting for final security approval. And work on another FTO from Samvardhane Technology is under progress said Airport Director.

Two companies have been allotted to open two flying training organisations (FTOs) at Belagavi Airport. The Samvardhane technologies from Bengaluru and RedBird aviation from Delhi have choosen Belagavi to open flying school.

Both companies leased land for Establishing flying Training Organizations (FTOs) on Design ,Build, Operate, Maintain & Transfer Basis (DBOMT) for 25 years at Belagavi Airport. Size of Land is 5000 sqm for Hangar & Aprone
