Establishment of Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (KSCDRC) Bench in Belagavi which was announced by Karnataka Government did not get any financial support even after two and half years.
Hundreds of lawyers of Belagavi Bar Association boycotted court proceedings and came out to the streets and created a human circle at Rani Chennamma Circle here on Tuesday (14 June).
They raised slogans against the Karnataka Government, Local Representatives and Minister Umesh Katti.
Despite being Minister of Consumer Affairs, Umesh Katti has failed to get funds for establishing Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission bench in his own District but allocated funds for operationalising Bench in Kalaburagi said Belagavi Bar Association Members.

The KSCRC Bench was announced to establish in Belagavi and Kalaburgi, However Government of Karnataka has delayed in providing funds for Belagavi Bench, but allocated funds for establishment and functioning of Bench at Kalaburgi.
