Director General of Police of Karnataka, Praveen Sood inaugurated the Police Museum at Belagavi Police Headquarters, SP office Road in Belagavi on Tuesday.
Police Department Belagavi, has taken a initiative to introduce their department and contribution done by them towards the public by opening first ever Police Museum in Belagavi.
This Police museum is one of its kind and first one in Karnataka. Museum is open to all public of Karnataka to visit and acquire some knowledge. People can visit the museum between 10am and 4pm. ‘Police Museum’ is housed in a old building which was renovated in 1997.

Museum displays information on Old type of Guns used, and showcases old High explosive number 36 grenade, Rounds pouch, Ruffle cleaning materials, Gramaphone, old band equipments, Finger print kit box and A Police Bus. Etc. Meusum also displays Wall of Fame consists of SP’s of Belagavi District and DG&IGP’s of Karnataka.

The meusum was inaugurated in presence of SP Laxman Nimbargi, SP Amery and many other higher end officer’s of the Police Department.
