Chief minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa held review meeting of Covid management and Other development works with officials and representatives of Belagavi in Suvarna Vidhana Soudha on Friday.
The government has taken all sorts of steps to supply oxygen and vaccine. In the coming days, more grants will be provided for the strengthening of education and health sectors in the state, Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said.
Cm said that It has been decided to provide a high number of vaccines as per the population of Belagavi district. This was discussed with the Minister of Health and instructed.

Cm Yeddyurappa announced that Belagavi Regional Commissioner Amlan Aditya Biswas has been appointed as the Administrator of the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) to facilitate administrative reforms including providing good treatment to covid infected people.

Cm said Permission has already been granted for the recruitment of staffs required for BIMS. The government has committed to provide basic facilities to the district hospitals.
Health minister Dr. K Sudhakar said that the chief minister have allotted seven oxygen units to Belagavi district. These units will be commissioned as soon as possible.
58 lakh vaccines by end of June: The state of Karnataka is expected to deliver 58 lakh vaccines by the end of June. With this, the vaccine shortage problem would be solved. Said K Sudhakar.
