Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to lay foundation stone for the construction of a full-fledged campus of Rani Chennamma University in Hirebagadewadi, Belagavi district. Minister of higher education Dr. C N Ashwath narayan visited and inspected the site on Thursday.
He discussed the 125-acre campus earmarked for campus construction and discussed with the university’s chancellor and other dignitaries what facilities the new campus should have.
The new campus will be student-friendly and will feature all of the advanced facilities and technologies needed for quality teaching. He said that this work would be taken up at a rapid pace and the educational progress of Kittur Karnataka would be promoted. RCU Chancellor Prof Ramachandra Gowda accompanied the Minister.
