The quarterly review meeting of Karnataka Development Programmes (KDP) was held on Monday (11 Nov.) at the Suvarna Vidhan Soudha, Belagavi, where district in-charge minister Govind Karjol presided over the meeting.
The minister said as per government orders, 3 doctors have been transferred to BIMS and Doctors will be appointed as per hospital requirements. He instructed the health department officials that the transferred doctors should be relieved immediately.
Legislative Council member Prakash Hukkeri who attended the meeting urged Mr. Karjol that the work of BIMS Super Specialty Hospital should be completed immediately. A committee should be formed at the district level and meeting should happen every month.

Minister Karjol said, The work order was given for the construction of super speciality hospital in the BIMS premises in 2019 and the project is already delayed, the concerned authorities should complete it before the winter session which begins in the month of December without making excuses.
Minister Govind Karjol also told the officials that there is a plan to inaugurate it by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai so work should be completed as early as possible.
Location for Kidwai Cancer Hospital finalised: The Kidwai Managing Director has already held a press conference with the former District Collector for the construction of the Kidwai Cancer Hospital in the southern part of Belagavi. A site has also been earmarked for construction of Kidwai Hospital on the southern part of Belagavi. But it has been decided to make it functional immediately in the old hospital block temporarily in Belagavi North. Abhay Patil, MLA of Belagavi South Assembly Constituency, said that that officially have purposely moving it to North part, construction site should not be changed which is already finalised at South Belagavi.
