The Chief minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai visited Belagavi for the first time after becoming cm. On saturday he met elected representatives and officials from Bagalkot and Vijayapura to discuss Covid-19 and floods. Then, he visited Belagavi and held a meeting in the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.
In his first visit cm has announced bonanza for Belagavi Distrct –
• Decision have been made to establish 10-Oxygen Production Unit in Gokak, Chikkodi, Savadatti and Belagavi. All oxygen units will be ready in twenty days.
• Establishment of Chikkodi RT-PCR Testing centre. Inaugurated today.

• The Department of Health will be notified to provide all facilities for the new five taluk hospital.
• 15 thousand extra vaccine doses for Belagavi district daily. It is advised to provide atleast 40,000 doses everyday.
• One crore vaccine demanded from Center. Necessary action for vaccination targeting.
• Vaccination in Border villages on Priority.

• In each village, a children’s health camp will be organised. Measures will be taken to supply nutrition.
• Action will be taken in hospitals for children suffering from malnutrition. Health camp throughout the district.

• Action will be taken to hold a winter session in Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in December.
• Action will be taken for Relocation of Directorate of Sugarcane Development and Sugar to Belagavi’s Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.
• Necessary action will be taken to relocate the major government office to Suvarna Soudha.
• Team will be sent to provide infrastructure to BIMS hospital.
