Belagavi City Corporation (CCB) to lease out 20-25 acres of land within corporation limits or outskirts for setting up decentralized unit for scientific disposal of the waste.
The commissioner of Belagavi City Corporation in a release mentioned that the 250 tons of garbage is being generated every day under the jurisdiction of Belagavi City Corporation. And solid waste disposal is being done scientifically as per solid waste disposal Act 2016. As the quantity of such waste is likely to be generated in the coming days up to 300 to 400 TPD, setting up of a decentralized unit for scientific disposal of the waste is essential. Therefore, 20 to 25 acres of land is required for disposal of such waste within Belagavi City Corporation limits or surrounding area. The public who are interested in selling 20 to 25 acres of land or giving it to the Corporation on lease basis are requested to meet the Commissioner, City Corporation of Belagavi.
