
Election Commission announces schedule for 2 Lok Sabha and 14 Assembly bypolls; voting on April 17.
The Election Commission has decided to hold bye-elections to fill vacancy in Belagavi Parliamentary constituency after the same was vacant after the death of Shri Suresh Angadi.
Belagavi in Karnataka and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh will head to Lok Sabha bypolls, while while the 14 assembly by-election seats are in the states of Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttarakhand.
Lok Sabha bypolls Assembly by-elections
Election Commission of India. The last date of nominations is March 30, while the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is April 3. The counting of votes will happen on May 2, along with the five assembly elections in Kerala, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and West Bengal
