The Karnataka State Road Transport corporation (KSRTC) has resumed bus service to Kolhapur from Belagavi and Nipani which were suspended due to Border dispute, Covid outbreak also due to RTPCR test negetive report compulsion.
However the service from MSRTC is yet to resume. Daily around 30 Buses were playing before Covid and later service was stopped with owing to the compulsion of negative RT-PCR test reports. The buses are being stopped by Police at Kognoli toll plaza seeking negative RT-PCR test reports.
Currently 54 buses from Karnataka are plying to Maharashtra daily. From Belgavi and Chikkodi depot, buses to Kolhapur have been resumed from Wednesday but the buses to Sangli and Miraj are still shut.
From Nipani depot (Belagavi), buses have started plying to Kolhapur, Hupari and Ichalkaranji, but the long route buses to Kalyan, Baramati, Aurangabad, Chiplun etc are still not functional.
